Role
While working at Collato, I’ve been responsible for two major parts of the product: the usability testing, to ensure a consistent user experience and the product feature discovery process.
My daily tasks included designing prototypes, conduct testing sessions and user interviews as well as mapping, concluding and communicating the research results and recommendations to the whole team.
Process
The whole testing process was done in close collaboration with the development team to ensure technical feasibility and consistent implementation of insights into the product development circle.
The challenge
As a young start-up, product feature discovery is one of the major opportunities to design and build an outstanding product. At the same time it is very challenging as there is not a lot of financial margin and still uncertainties and unknowns when it comes to target users and stakeholders.
The solution
Continuous user research and testing! At Collato our goal was to have bi-weekly research and testing sessions. In that way we assured that we were constantly collecting feedback, establishing a testing culture within the whole team and were able to catch granular inconsistencies to quickly divert and adjust the MVP.
